Where it all started..
Like the founders of the world's first children's museum, Children's Museum of Brooklyn in 1899, we were driven by the same philosophy: 'Changing children's lives for the better'. Inspired by this ideology, in 2014 she started to convert the idea into a concrete plan for the Children's Museum Curaçao.
Over the years we have visited more than 30 children's museums around the world. The purpose of these visits was to gain insight into the concept and to form a clear idea about what works and what doesn't. By joining the Association of Children's Museum in 2014, we became part of a very wise and caring family of over 350 children's museums around the world. Our ideas and their knowledge gave us the tools to create our own master plan. Our goal was to take the best ideas from around the world and give it our own identity, our own face that represents the culture and people of Curaçao. With the realization of the Children's Museum Curaçao, we want to give the children of Curaçao a very powerful gift: playful learning.
