1. San Juan - Playa Largu
San Juan consists of 4 small beaches, all not very well known to tourists. So for a quiet beach day and BBQ spot, this place is ideal! The beaches are called Playa Manzalina, Playa Largu and Playa Shon Mosa. The fourth beach has no name and is therefore even more unknown. Playa Largu is most ideal for BBQing because of the shaded areas under the trees.
Chances are there is no one on the beach so you have all the space you need. There are no other facilities available so make sure you bring enough food and drinks to go with the BBQ.
A very nice and wide beach is Daaibooi Bay. You can have a lovely beach day here on a large beach with some shaded areas and sunbeds. Own food and drinks are allowed here and it is also possible to bring a BBQ.
You can only BBQ here behind the stone wall and not on the beach itself. Nevertheless, you still retain the beautiful view and this beach is definitely recommended as a BBQ location.
Unlike the previous beaches towards Westpunt, it is located Playa Caracas Bay on the other side of the island. Playa Caracas Bay is a wide beach where there are many palapa’s for shade. Enjoy your BBQ overlooking the sea and the company of other picnickers.
